Marina Ezugbaia names sources of infection in 34 new COVID-19 cases

Among new COVID-19 cases, six are linked to the confectionery shop “Dona” in Batumi, 15 had contact with an infected patient, eight have travel history in Adjara, one is a medical worker, two are imported, and two more are under study, said Marina Ezugbaia, the Medical Director of Tbilisi Hospital of Infectious Diseases.

At this stage, 342 coronavirus patients remain in COVID-19 Centers, of those, three are in a critical state, added Ezugbaia.

Georgia has reported 34 new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) today, bringing the total number of infected people to 1 684.

Five patients have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, increasing the total to 1 315.
