Mamuka Bakhtadze: Russia must fulfill its obligations undertaken 10 years ago

Russia does not fulfill its obligations and does not withdraw its occupation forces from the Georgian territories, – Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze has made this statement when presenting the annual report of the government today.

According to him, Georgia uses all tribunes and platforms to send its message to the world.

“Unfortunately, 20% of our territories is still occupied by the Russian Federation. Russia does not fulfill its obligations undertaken in 2008 and does not withdraw the occupation forces from the Georgian territories. We are watching the so-called borderization process and installation of barbed wire fences. This is a very hard and painful challenge. We use all tribunes and platforms to send our message to the world community.

It is very important to consolidate the world community in order to overcome this most painful challenge with joint efforts. I use all tribunes together with my colleagues and you know that we called on Russia from the United Nations tribune to fulfill the obligations undertaken 10 years ago”, – Mamuka Bakhtadze said.

According to Prime Minister Georgian government has an action plan and an initiative called “A Step for a Better Future”

“We are very active in our peace policy. We have an action plan and an initiative called “A Step for a Better Future” that is fully supported by all international organizations and all our friendly countries,” – Bakhtadze said.
