Mamuka Bakhtadze met Germany's Ambassador

Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze held a meeting with Germany’s Ambassador to Georgia Hubert Knirsch.

According to the Press Office of government’s Administration, different directions of the cooperation between the two countries were discussed at the meeting.

The Prime Minister informed the German diplomat about the country’s successful reforms. Special attention was paid to the educational reform and cooperation with the German side in this area, with emphasis on sharing experience in vocational education and the necessity of maximally aligning with the German model.

As the Prime Minister underlined during the meeting, the educational reform and human capital development are among the Government’s top priorities.

According to the Head of Government, the joint work of the Ministries of Education and Economy has resulted in the identification of professions with sparse human resources, and cooperation with Germany on properly choosing and adopting relevant learning programs is of crucial importance.

The meeting also discussed agricultural cooperation and the importance of the projects implemented by GIZ in this field. The parties praised the trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and Georgia’s business environment.

The Prime Minister and the German Ambassador also discussed the upcoming Georgia-Germany Business Forum.
