London Mayor: We are behind the rest of the world in our response to this virus

The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has echoed Michael Gove’s statement according to which face masks should not be mandatory in shops in England.

London Mayor urges Boris Johnson to make face masks mandatory in all closed places to avoid the second wave of coronavirus.

Sadiq Khan said: “Once again, we are behind the rest of the world in our response to this virus.”

The PM says we need to be stricter on face masks..

..so why don’t the Government get their act together and make face masks mandatory in shops and enclosed spaces?

Cabinet Minister Michael Gove noted that “it is always best to trust people’s common sense”.
