Lithuanian lawmakers adopt statement in support of Georgia

Members of Seimas (Lithuanian Parliament) adopted a statement in support of Georgia over the latest installation of artificial barriers and barbed wires by the occupational regime. Lithuanian MPs called on the Russian Federation for cease of illegal borderization process.

Thirteen members of different factions signed the document including Juozas Bernatonis, Chairman of Foreign Relations Committee, Gediminas Kirkilas, Vice Speaker and Chairman of the European Affairs Committee and Linas Linkevičius, Foreign Minister of Lithuania.

The group of Lithuanian MPs reiterated unwavering support to Georgia’s state sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders and called on Russia for ceasing illegal activities and for fulfillment of the internationally taken commitments.
