Lithuania to raise Archil Tatunashvili’s death case at EU Foreign Affairs Council

Lithuania will raise the issue of the death of citizen of Georgia Archil Tatunashvili at the Foreign Affairs Council of EU. Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius publishes the regarding statement on his Twitter page.

“The ugly face of oppressive regime in Russia’s occupied South Ossetia. Condemn persecutions against Georgian citizens and echo the call to establish international human rights and security mechanisms on the ground. I will raise this issue during tomorrow’s meetings in Foreign Affairs Council of EU”,  – noted Linas Linkevicius in his post while publishing the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

On February 22, the occupation regime illegally detained three citizens of Georgia– Archil Tatunashvili, Levan Kutashvili and Ioseb Pavliashvili, in Akhalgori. On Fabruary 23, Archil Tatunashvili died in uncertain circumstances.
