Lelo to take up MP mandates if plebiscite reached

Members of the opposition Lelo party will take up their MP mandates and engage in the parliamentary work if the agreement on plebiscite holding is reached with the ruling party.

Grigol Gegelia, a member of Lelo Party, said he hoped that Georgian voters would support early elections holding in the plebiscite.

“We believe that the plebiscite is the highest mechanism to show democracy verdict. We focus on a perfect format of healthy mediation. We will enter the parliament to work on preparation for holding proper elections in 2022,” Gegelia claimed.

According to Grigol Gegelia, the opposition table is a ‘patriotic table’ where all opposition parties are represented. The opposition is united around 6 important points and this unity will not be undermined until early elections are reached in the country.
