Kakha Kuchava: Georgia stood for a peaceful solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict

Vice Speaker of the Parliament Kakha Kuchava said that Georgia stood for a peaceful solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

According to him, Georgia will do its best to get involved in the process in this regard.

“From the very first day of the armed conflict, the Georgian government has clearly stated its position that we will support only a peaceful solution to this conflict. We will try our best to get involved in the process in this direction and to offer Georgia as a negotiating table.

We will remain faithful to this principle despite the efforts of external actors. You know very well who they are. Unfortunately, there are certain forces inside the country as well. They try to present Georgia as one of the parties to the conflict. It is a lie, and this attempt will fail as the position of our country is clearly stated, and we have communication with both parties” – Kakha Kuchava said.

According to Kakha Kuchava, all measures are taken to respond to any kind of misinformation.

“We heard the statement of the Armenian ambassador, who called information as if Georgia directed military weapons towards Azerbaijan, misinformation. It is misinformation, and I urge everyone not to disseminate it. Our country has the most important role in maintaining peace in the region. We will try our best to make this contribution”, – Kakha Kuchava said.
