Corrupted Gigi Ugulava is a clear example of what Tbilisi Mayor should not look like – Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze stated during the city governmental sitting.

Kaladze made the statement regarding the special act issued by former Tbilisi Mayor Gigi Ugulava in 2013 about the permit for construction of a 30-meter building in Vake Park.

“This is a permit for an 8-9-floor building that is categorically unacceptable. Certain people had been objecting to the move for many years, there were disputes in courts. Unfortunately, all lawsuits are lost and the permit remains to be in force,” Kaladze said.

According to Kaladze, former Mayor committed a crime before residents of Tbilisi and many decisions remained that would have grave consequences with respect to the long-term development of the city.
