Italy’s coronavirus death toll jumps by 474, highest in two weeks

Italy reported a spike in its daily deaths from the coronavirus on Saturday, with 474 fatalities reported by the civil protection service the highest since April 21.

The country’s toll two days before it begins to roll back a nearly two-month national lockdown stands at 28,710, second only to the United States.
