Irina Putkaradze was elected as the Chair of the Board of Trustees of Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) today.

The sitting of Board of Trustees has been held today. It was attended by seven out of nine members. Five supported Putkaradze’s candidacy.

Irina Putkaradze served as the Deputy Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Public Broadcaster. Accordingly, the position became vacant.  The balloting procedure has been held at today’s sitting. Ketevan Mskhiladze and Isabela Osipova were revealed as the candidacies for the post. Isabela Osipova received six votes and Keti Mskhiladze one vote.

The post of Chair of the Board of Trustees has been vacant since membership term of the former Chair Grigol Gogelia expired.
