Ireland listed Georgia as safe country

The Republic of Ireland has listed Georgia as safe country.

According to the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the relevant decision was made by the Ministry of Justice of Ireland. According to the Minister’s decree, Georgia has moved together with other European countries in this category.

According to state agency, Ireland is the ninth country of the EU/Schengen area, out of twelve countries that have such classification and have made a decision in relation to Georgia.

This decision has been enforced since 16 April.
