Irakli Lekvinadze - New, preferential tax regime for small entrepreneurs to be enacted presumably from July

A new, preferential tax regime for small entrepreneurs will be presumably enacted from July, 2018. –  Georgia’s Business Ombudsman Irakli Lekvinadze told the First Channel in that regard.

According to Irakli Lekvinadze, legislative amendments prepared by the Ministry of Finance, which are discussed at the government meeting today, will be an important advantage for small entrepreneurs.

“Two important advantages are provided for small entrepreneurs, the first – enterprise with turnover of up to 500,000 GEL will be considered the small entrepreneur. The current level – 100,000 GEL. And the second – instead of 5%, they will have to pay a 1% tax on the turnover”, – Business Ombudsman said.
