All relevant measures will be taken to ensure that the Strasbourg Court deliver s judgment in favor of Georgia, – Irakli Kobakhidze, Chairman of Parliament of Georgia, said when commenting on the complaint filed by Georgia against Russia at the European Court of Human Rights.

“The Parliament got interested in this case. We had a special meeting with the Minister of Justice, Government officials and discussed each detail of the case. We discussed our country’s arguments and evidence.

We are persuaded that all relevant measures will be taken to ensure that the Strasbourg Court deliver s judgment in favor of Georgia. The Parliament will of course monitor the process,” Kobakhidze said.

On May 23, the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights will consider a suit filed by Georgia against Russia in connection with the 2008 armed conflict between Georgia and Russia.
