Irakli Kobakhidze – I do not think that elections date may influence voter turnout

I do not think that elections date may influence the voter turnout – Irakli Kobakhidze, Chairman of Parliament said.

Kobakhidze explained that appointment of the date of the second round of 2018 presidential elections was the prerogative of Central Election Commission.

“There is no ground for speculations. So what if the elections are held on a weekday. I remember that Mikheil Saakashvili (ex-president) appointed elections for Wednesday in 2012. The elections were one of the most active ones in the modern history of Georgia,” Kobakhidze said.
