Irakli Kobakhidze – Georgian government will not tolerate corruption in the country

All appropriate measures should be taken to ensure investigation of the case, – Chairman of Parliament Irakli Kobakhidze told reporters while commenting about the audio recordings released related to “Iberia” TV and “Omega Group”.

According to Kobakhidze, many surnames were mentioned in this case and the law-enforcement bodies should answer the raised questions.

When Irakli Kobakhidze was asked whether it was possible that Bidzina Ivanishvili’s name had been connected with this case, the Speaker said that it is excluded.

“This is absolutely excluded. I know Mr. Bidzina’s principles. Bidzina Ivanishvili is the man who has defeated elite corruption in our country. This elite corruption has been flourished in Georgia since 2012 and thanks to his principles, the governance of the country has changed radically. This is the merit of Bidzina Ivanishvili and his principles,” Kobakhidze said.
