Irakli Kobakhidze: Appeal of embassies to political parties to take responsibility for ensuring functioning of effective parliament is very important

It is important that our international partners call on the opposition to act freely, peacefully and in accordance with the regulations relating to COVID – said Irakli Kobakhidze, executive secretary of Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia, at a briefing today.

Kobakhidze responded to the joint statement of the US Embassy in Georgia and the EU Delegation to Georgia.

“It is important that our international partners have called on the opposition to act in accordance with freedom of assembly, in a peaceful manner, and subject to regulations related to the coronavirus.

The appeal of the embassies to all political parties to take responsibility for ensuring the functioning of an effective parliament is very important.

For our part, we express our readiness to promote the proper implementation of the right of assembly and shed light on all controversial issues related to the elections, ”said Irakli Kobakhidze.
