IPRM Group meeting held in Ergneti

The release of unlawfully detained Georgian citizens was the main issue of discussions at the Ergneti Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) meeting. Irakli Antadze, Deputy Head of the Information-Analytical Department of State Security Service, declared after the meeting.

According to Antadze, the meeting discussed the possibility of allowing family members to visit Zaza Gakheladze in Tskhinvali.

“The release of unlawfully detained and imprisoned Georgian citizens, including the issue of Zaza Gakheladze, was the main topic for discussions. We have had solid support from our international partners. Further consultations continue. We also discussed the possibility for Zaza Gakheladze’s family members to visit him in Tskhinvali. Hopefully, the date of this visit will be announced soon,” Irakli Antadze said.
