International IT companies enter Georgia

The IT companies holding the international status will benefit from tax advantages that mean 5% income tax instead of the standard 15-20% taxation, the decree of the Georgian government as of October 8, 2020 reads.

According to the Innovation and Technology Agency, leading world IT Companies will enter Georgia within the framework of this initiative.

Agency informs that EPAM System was the first to launch procedures for registration of its daughter company in Georgia. EPAM System is one of the fastest-growing American Public Technologies companies that specializes in product development, digital platform engineering, and digital and product design.

Exadel is another IT Company, which will relocate its activities to Georgia. The company has 23 branch offices in different countries and has more than 1 thousand employees.

“The entry of such high-level international technology companies is crucial for the development of the innovation ecosystem in Georgia. It is a unique opportunity for our people to secure highly-paid jobs.

Also, it is welcoming that, besides tax advantages, international technological companies found the large-scale training program of the Agency as attractive,” said Avtandil Kasradze, Chairman of Innovation and Technology Agency.

Kasradze said that this program envisages the training of approximately 3 thousand IT specialists. The participants will get international certificates that will make it easier for Georgian citizens to be employed at international companies.
