Electricity tariff rises from January 1, 2021

The electricity tariff for the population and commercial sector will rise from January 1, 2021, electricity distribution tariff will stand till the end of 2025.

The Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC) decided to raise the residential electricity price by 3.5 Tetri (including VAT).

The residential electricity prices for the consumers of Telasi energy company are: First level consumption up to 101 kw/h increased to 18.041 tetri against the current 14.544 Tetri; The second level consumption between 101-301 kw/h would make 22.053 Tetri against the current tariff of 18.556 Tetri; Third level consumption of over 301 kw/h will cost 26.537 against the old 23.040 Tetri.

Electricity tariff in the commercial sector will also increase by 11 Tetri.
