IMF approves allocation of USD 200 million in support to Georgia

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved allocation of USD 200 million in support to Georgia to help the country in struggle against COVID-19.

In a released statement, IMF says that the pandemic will significantly affect the economy and will hamper the positive dynamics of the last several years.

Also based on the statement, the Georgian government took steps for increase of healthcare budget, social aid and support of business. The IMF says that its financial aid will be an important contribution to the country.
