Ilia II met diplomats

The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Priests and Clergy of Georgia, hold a meeting with the Georgian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Tamar Beruchashvili and diplomats of the European and Latin American countries accredited to the UK on May 9.

According to the Patriarchate of Georgia, their visit took place within the diplomatic tour of Georgia’s friends.

Ambassadors thanked the Catholicos-Patriarch for the meeting and noted that the role of the Church and its holiness in the development of Georgia is great. They also emphasized the tolerance of the Georgian Orthodox Church toward various religious, which allows people with different beliefs to live peacefully in Georgia.

According to Patriarchate, Ilia II thanked the Ambassadors for supporting Georgia and noted that the visit will further strengthen ties, which will be useful for our countries.
