Hydrographic ship of British Royal Marine Forces enters Batumi port

HMS ECHO, a multi-role hydrographic survey ship of the British Royal Marine Forces entered Batumi port.

A solemn reception was held in the port. The crew was welcomed with Georgian wine. Tornike Rizhvadze, Chairman of Adjara Government attended the ceremony.

“Batumi is often hosting military ships of partner countries that is an important fact,” Rizhvadze said.

The HMS ECHO ship will be patrolling in the Black Sea waters and will leave Batumi port on December 30.
