Human Rights Committee Chair says SSG statement to be convincing

“The statement of the State Security Service was absolutely convincing to me, as some political forces have become accustomed to fighting with such methods,” said Mikheil Sarjveladze, Chairman of the parliamentary Human Rights Committee.

According to Sarjveladze, the scenario plotted by protest participants has no perspective. “Those who hate this country may wish this scenario to take place. The SSG statement was absolutely convincing for me because it is not a thunder on a clear sky. I have seen much, including June 20, like that,” Sarjveladze said.

State Security Service of Georgia (SSG) reported about plotted disorder and destabilization on November 6.  It said that organizers of the protest planned to block state institutions, including parliament and Governmental Administration, roads at N12 Rustavi Prison and the possibility to kill one of the opposition leaders.
