Hotline activated for Georgian citizens in Italy

A hotline has been activated for Georgian citizens being in Italy. According to Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Georgian citizens can call at +39 333 8879123 of Georgian Embassy in Italy at any time for assistance.

The Embassy is in constant contact with the relevant institutions due to the bridge collapse in Genoa city. Based on the latest information, 20 people are reported to have died and 13 – injured today after a major tourist motorway bridge collapsed during a “violent” lightning storm in Italy.

Firefighters say cars and trucks plunged more than 150ft after a section of the A10 motorway suddenly fell away onto a heavily-populated district below.
