The snow cover reaches 50 centimeters in Mestia, Zemo (Upper) Svaneti region of Georgia.

Mestia Municipality Mayor Kapiton Zhorzholiani reported on intensive snowfall in the region since morning. He informed Georgian Public Broadcaster that movement at the Kala-Ushguli road section is allowed by 4WD vehicles only. Local roads are cleaned, and the electricity supply is uninterrupted in the municipalities.

Traffic movement restrictions are imposed due to severe meteorological conditions and heavy snowfall. Georgian Roads Department informs movement of trucks and trailers is prohibited across the Nakerala Pass of Kutaisi-Tkibuti-Ambrolauri highway.
