Head of National Center for Diseases Control – Increase of COVID-19 cases is still expected, we will reach the peak in second-third week of November

Georgia will reach the peak with the number of COVID-19 cases in the second of third week of November – Amiran Gamkrelidze, Head of National Center for Diseases Control and Public Health said after the sitting of Coordination Council held at Governmental Administration.

“The number of COVI-19 is increased by 200 in comparison to yesterday. However, do not panic or be calm. The increase in COVID-19 will continue. We will reach the peak with the number of COVID-19 cases in the second of third week of November,” Gamkrelidze said.

Georgia has reported 1 759 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases and 350 recoveries today.

In total, Georgia’s coronavirus cases increased to 24 562. The number of recovered patients reached 9 751.

Five more patients died of COVID-19 in Georgia in the last 24 hours. The virus-related death toll stands at 183 in the country.
