Amiran Gamkrelidze, Head of National Center for Diseases Control and Public Health said that special attention had to be paid to the first week of December. Also, according to Gamkrelidze, if tighter restrictions are not introduced, the peak of the pandemic may last longer.

Gamkrelidze said that Diseases Control Center was actively cooperating with Washington Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), which was making prognosis about the pandemic situation for different countries including Georgia.
