Government’s initiative on debts annullation is a desperate act motivated by the fear of losing the election, – Grigol Vashadze, presidential candidate of the united opposition “Power is in Unity”, said while commenting on the Prime Minister’s new initiative.

According to him, the government tries to make the banks’ routine annual action as an initiative.

“This is not an initiative but the desperate act motivated by the fear of losing the election. Banks annually annuls hopeless debts anyway. The government tries to make the banks’ routine annual action as an initiative. They annulled over GEL 75 million last year. Be sure that this is a trick, despair and nothing else, ” – Grigol Vashadze said.

The financial liabilities of more than 600,000 citizens toward the banks, online organizations and other financial institutions will be annulled. Georgia’s Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze made this statement at the briefing today.
