GREDA offers communication platform on HPPs to all stakeholders

The Georgian Renewable Energy Development Association (GREDA) offers a communication platform to all stakeholders to discuss issues around hydropower plants, GREDA announced on Thursday.

Giorgi Abramishvili, president of the association, says that the USD four-billion investment has been delayed due to the population protest, and up to 80 large and small hydropower plants failed to build in 80 districts of the country. Abramishvili believes that the protest is guided by outside forces in some cases that use the emotions and religious feelings of the country’s population.

Therefore, the Renewable Energy Development Association offers its platform to all specialists or stakeholders to inform the citizens about hydropower plants on the one hand, and on the other hand for the public to see or select the most trusted professionals.
