GPB to publish August 13-September 13 pre-election media monitoring results

Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) kicked off an internal pre-election media monitoring for the October 2 local self-governance elections, aiming to calculate the airtime allocated to electoral candidates from August 13. Public Broadcaster published the results covering the August 13-September 13 periods on Friday.

The monitoring is carried out through a specially created program referring to a TV program/story hyperlink in each case. Trained monitors ensure the procession of information, taking into account the specifics of different platforms and programs. The monitoring methodology is based on international practice.

GPB will publish separate components of media monitoring during the monitoring period and the full report after the election process.
