GPB to host live debates between ruling party and opposition

The Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) will host live debates between representatives of the ruling Georgian Dream Party and the opposition.

The parliamentary authority of six boycotting opposition parties remains effective. Does the opposition intend to engage in the parliamentary work? What mechanisms could be applied for the legislative changes? How do the opposition politicians assume the appeals of foreign partners on taking up their seats?

Irakli Zarkua from the GD Party, Nika Oboladze from the United National Movement (UNM) Party and Paata Manjgaladze from the Strategy Aghmashenebeli Party will hold the debates at 10:30 pm tonight.

The GPB proposed its airtime to political parties for public and constructive debates in January.
