Two companies won the competition announces by the Georgian Public Broadcaster on dubbing Walt Disney’s animated films and producing Georgian versions of soundtracks. The Phonograph will produce the Georgian versions of Disney songs, and Bravo Records will dub the animated films.
GPB General Director, Tinatin Berdzenishvili, met with the representatives of both companies on Friday.
“Working on Walt Disney films, dubbing and producing Georgian analogues of songs, is a very responsible job. The GPB viewers will have the opportunity to watch Disney animated films with the high-quality sound and dubbing in September”, Tinatin Berdzenishvili said.
Paata Godziashvili, the Head of Phonograph, noted that working on this project is challenging as Disney products are perfect.
Head of Bravo Records, Zaza Shengelia, stressed his company has an international certificate and dubs films for Georgian cinemas exclusively.
GPB and the Walt Disney Company signed a cooperation agreement last December. The broadcaster has to televise the original, licensed films dubbed in the Georgian language under the official contract.
