Government to work with tourism sector on attraction of foreign vaccinated visitors

The Georgian government will start working with the National Tourism Administration and tourism sector on streaming in foreign visitors to Georgia next week.

According to the Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava, air companies will be requested not to allow passengers who lack negative Covid-19 PCR tests.

Turnava said Georgia should not have high expectations in the next few months over the mass inflow of international tourists due to the continuous global Covid-19 pandemic.

Covid-safety regulations will ease with the resumption of regular flights from February 1. The relaxation of restrictions includes the duration of compulsory self-isolation for entry in Georgia both for Georgian and foreign citizens.
