GOC to urge churches for plastic cups use

Georgian Orthodox Church urged the churches to adhere to the Covid-19 pandemic-related regulations and use plastic cups during the blessing rituals.

“Due to the pandemic, all churches across Georgia are blessed to ensure regular disinfection of floors, social distancing, facemask-wear rule observation, and use of plastic cups during three weeks starting August 14,” reads the order signed by Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II.
