60 527 292 coronavirus cases, 1 423 292 deaths and 38 532 900 recoveries have been recorded around the world since the pandemic, according to Johns Hopkins University.

The US (12 778 256 cases; 262 283 deaths ) ranks first in terms of the spread of COVID-19 and mortalities caused by the coronavirus, followed by India (9 266 705 cases; 135 223 deaths) and Brazil (6 166 606 cases; 170 769 deaths).

France, Russia, Spain, the UK and Italy are also the worst virus-hit countries.
