280 000 new cases and 6000 new deaths recorded around the world in the last 24 hours.

The COVID-19-related death toll has reached 800 000. More than 14 700 000 people recovered from the novel virus so far.

In terms of cases, the US ranks first (5 600 000), followed by Brazil (3 500 000).
