Giorgi Kvirikashvili: I welcome Giorgi Margvelashvili's return to active politics

“I welcome the decision of Giorgi Margvelashvili to return to active politics, I believe that this person, in essence, is an asset for Georgia as a whole, and not just for politics,” – said former Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili.

As Kvirikashvili noted, he is not going to return to active politics.

“I am not going to return to active politics. I will have my public position on many issues, but I am not going to return to politics because of one simple reason, I was the Prime Minister and made many decisions, guided by the interests of the country. I don’t want to call into question the motivation that I had with regard to Anaklia port, I supported this project and consider it the most important for Georgia in terms of Georgia’s economic and strategic positioning, ” – Kvirikashvili said.
