Gigi Ugulava to quit European Georgia party

Gigi Ugulava, one of the leaders of the opposition European Georgia party quits. He will not attend the party congress on Saturday.

Ugulava wrote in the social network that the 2020 parliamentary elections were unsuccessful for the party. He said the party needed renewal and improvement with the course to the future.

Gigi Ugulava said his being in the party together with Giga Bokeria (another leader) turned out impossible.

He added that he would continue to struggle against the ruling power together with other opposition parties and civil movements.

Davit Bakradze, Chairman of the opposition European Georgia party said he is quitting post and taking party timeout.
