GeoStat says Georgia's top trading partner by exports is China, by imports - Turkey 

In January-September 2020 the external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 8 121.0 million, 14.9 per cent lower to the same period of 2019, GeoStat reported.

The exports equaled USD 2 403.5 million (12.1 per cent lower), while the imports stood at USD 5 717.6 million (15.9 per cent lower). The negative trade balance was USD 3 314.1 million in January-September 2020 and its share in external trade turnover constituted 40.8 per cent.

In January-September 2020 the share of the top ten trading partners by exports in the total exports of Georgia amounted to 76.9 per cent. The top partners were China (USD 355.3 million), Azerbaijan (USD 327.9 million) and Russia (USD 308.6 million).

In January-September 2020 the share of the top ten trading partners by imports in the total imports of Georgia amounted to 69.8 per cent. The top partners were Turkey (USD 981.6 million), Russia (USD 626.0 million) and China (USD 509.6 million).
