Georgian President meets OSCE Chairperson-in-Office

President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili met the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Sweden’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Ann Linde, on Tuesday.

Salome Zourabichvili initiated hosting an international conference in Georgia with the participation of women leaders. It will discuss regional conflicts and their peaceful resolution. OSCE Chairperson-in-Office welcomed the initiative and expressed readiness to be involved in its implementation.

The meeting discussed the current situation across Georgia’s occupied territories, regional challenges, and Georgian electoral system. The sides focused on illegal detention and abduction of Georgian citizens from the villages adjacent to the occupation line.

During the visit, Ann Linde is holding meetings with Georgian officials and civil society. She will also visit Khurvaleti village located near the occupation line.
