Georgian PM to take part in World Economic Forum in Davos

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia will arrive in Davos, Switzerland, today to participate in the World Economic Forum. Gakharia is planned to hold bilateral high-level political meetings with heads of different states.

The economic part of the Prime Minister’s working visit will include meetings with heads of international financial institutions and the world’s largest companies, including Philips Lighting, Siemens Energy, Camille Bloch, Coca-cola, Oneweb, etc.

During the visit, the Prime Minister will participate in the thematic discussion New Ambitions for Europe together with his European counterparts.

The head of government will address the participants of the official event organized for European leaders “Uniting Europe” and will attend a reception on behalf of the founders of the World Economic Forum. Georgia’s PM will also attend the presentation – Cool Kids on Blockchain.

The Georgian delegation includes Finance Minister Ivane Machavariani, Prime Minister’s Advisor in International Relations Irakli Chikovani and Economic Advisor Beka Liluashvili. The working visit of the Georgian government to the Swiss Confederation will end on January 24.
