Georgia and Azerbaijan are strategic partners. We jointly managed to implement globally significant projects – The prime minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze stated today after the meeting with official representatives of Azerbaijan.
We discussed new projects which we can implement jointly and which will strengthen our economic relationship. Also, we set goals today.
Our country`s trade turnover will reach to billion this year and we think we will be able to improve this indicator by 50-60%.
According to Mamuka Bakhtadze, Georgia and Azerbaijan have good relations in the field of education and culture, but there are issues that need to improve and develop.
Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze has arrived in Azerbaijan for a visit.
Mamuka Bakhtadze was welcomed by Azerbaijan`s Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmadov, Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov and other officials.
Within the framework of the official visit, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has met with Prime Minister of Georgia. Mamuka Bakhtaze also met with Prime Minister of Azerbaijan and Chairman of the Parliament.
