Georgian PM observes vaccination at Rukhi Clinic

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili got briefed about the process of vaccination at Rukhi Clinic in Zugdidi Municipality together with Parliament Speaker Kakha Kuchava, the government’s press service reported on Wednesday.

PM spoke with vaccinating brigades and locals. He stressed the importance of vaccination in his conversation and noted that immunization against COVID-19 is the key to defeat the virus, the press statement read.

As David Shonia, Principle of the Rukhi Clinic, noted, 600 individuals are vaccinated daily, and so far, over 20,000 people have been immunized at the clinic. Republican Hospital in Rukhi village is one of the most sound, well-equipped state clinics of modern standards designed for 220 hospital beds. It has been engaged in the management of COVID-19 since the dawn of the pandemic. Vaccination and testing are performed at the premises.

The clinic renders services not only in the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region but admits residents from occupied territories.
