Georgian PM lays wreath on tombstone of Kemal Ataturk

Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia accompanied by his delegation is paying a State Visit to the Republic of Turkey today. Press Service of the Government Administration reported on Tuesday.

Prior to the official meetings scheduled for late afternoon, the Head of Government of Georgia and his delegation visited the Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and laid a wreath of garland on the tombstone of the founding father of the Republic of Turkey. The Prime Minister of Georgia thereby made an entry to the Book of Remembrance.

“Mustafa Kemal Atatürk has left an enduring mark not only on the history of Turkey, but also on the legacy of mankind. His name as a progressive leader and founder of the modern Turkish state is immortal and will never be forgotten” reads the entry made by the Prime Minister of Georgia in the Book of Remembrance deposited at the Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
