Georgian Parliament: Russia's aggressive actions problem for civilized world

“Russia’s aggressive actions are a problem not only for Georgia but also for the entire civilized world,” Irakli Beraia, chairman of the Defense and Security Committee of the Georgian parliament, declared.

“In general, we know that Russia’s actions are provocative, as are Russia’s statements and actions. The main task is increasing pressure on the Russian Federation through further consolidation of the efforts of the international community. We need to ensure that the occupier and aggressor state fulfills their obligations under the ceasefire agreement and international law.

Russia’s aggressive actions are a problem not only for Georgia but for the entire civilized world, including our partners in Europe and the Euro-Atlantic area. Russia’s actions threaten the security of our country but also the Euro-Atlantic area. We work together with international partners on common goals and objectives. The main task is to continue to work and increase pressure on Russia. This approach should be universal,” Irakli Beraia said.

According to the Russian media, Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed a special representative for border delimitation and demarcation with Georgia and its Russia-occupied regions of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali.
