Georgian MFA: Information disseminated by one of Azerbaijani media outlets is biased and aims to create problem between two partner countries

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia responds to the information disseminated by one of the Azerbaijani media outlets.

The Ministry claims that publication is misinformation, which contains a lot of inaccuracies.

According to the information disseminated by Azerbaijani media portal “Haqqin”, allegedly  “a few days before July 12, mortar shells were supplied to Armenia from Serbia via Georgia”. The publication also mentions that “information appeared in social networks that on the same day, military equipment and ammunition were delivered to Armenia on Kamaz vehicles, from Russia, again through Georgia”.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia states that the mentioned article is biased and aims to artificially create a problem in relations between the two strategic partner countries.

“It is regrettable that the supposedly solid online edition biasedly describes the facts, misleads the public and tries to cast a shadow over the strategic Georgian-Azerbaijani partnership and friendship. We emphasize once again that Georgia and Azerbaijan are linked by the strategic partnership and long-standing friendship between the two nations, which is developing and deepening.

Both countries play an important role in the region, including jointly implementing many important regional and international projects. This article is biased and aims to artificially create a problem in relations between the two strategic partner countries”, – Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia states.
