Georgian March rallies at presidential residence

The civil movement Georgian March is rallying at the presidential residence in the Georgian capital Tbilisi. They appeared on the spot after visiting the Davit Gareji monastery complex on Wednesday.

Rally participants demand a meeting with the Georgian president to discuss Davit Gareji-related questions.

Georgian March believes the president’s statements regarding the case are treason.

“If no one meets with us, we will bring hell here, lock the gate,” Georgian March member Sandro Bregadze said.

Protesters added that the Azerbaijani border guards entered Davit Gareji churches and monasteries after the president’s statement during her visit to Davit Gareji.

A rally participant Giorgi Gabedava tried to chain and lock the building gate, but the police kept him away.

Earlier today, the civil movement Georgian March visited the Davit Gareji monastery complex in eastern Georgia. They did a drone filming of the monastery complex to demonstrate it to the Georgian citizens. Georgian March claims “the Georgian government is not interested in the Davit Gareji issue.”
