The Georgian judo wrestlers returned from Doha Masters 2021 International Judo Tournament in Qatar. Family members and friends welcomed them at the Tbilisi International Airport.
Tato Grigalashvili, the young Georgian wrestler, won the gold medal at Doha Masters. The International Judo Federation named Tato Grigalashvili the Best Male Athlete at the Doha World Judo Masters.
Georgian judoka Varlam Liparteliani, competing in the half-heavyweight category (100 kg), won the second gold medal for the Georgian judo team at Doha Masters 2021.
The Georgian judo team claimed a second-place among the male teams at the international judo tournament.
A total of 398 competitors from 69 countries, among them 215 men and 183 women, participated in Doha Masters 2021.
