Georgian gov't to approve vaccination plan

“The government will approve the vaccination plan today. The plan aims to vaccinate at least 60% of the population,” Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia announced on Thursday.

Georgian PM noted that “the plan fully meets the current challenges, and Georgia is ready to kick off the vaccination.”

PM also named the risk-groups that would get the first shots.

“The medical staff, nursing-home beneficiaries, and the elderly people over 75 will get the first shots. Then the citizens aged 60 to 75 will be vaccinated. Georgia will purchase only authorized Covid-19 vaccines,” PM stressed.
